In addition to the few words in our sympathy card we have so many lovely memories of Barb, our lovely friendly neighbour. You were our neighbour for 15 years, in the summertime you were often catching rays out the front and were always more than happy for a chat, asking how we were, letting us know your family updates, Bob’s travels and any occurrences in the neighbourhood, you were my neighbourhood watch buddy, my fellow nosey neighbour (but always in a good way!) If we were washing up in the kitchen you would often tap on the glass and we would talk through the window! A knock on the door every so often with something you had found indoors which you thought the girls could make use of, a call over the back fence led to many garden chats particularly in the summer! You and Pat were always happy to pop in while we were away to feed our little piggies and keep an eye on the place. When we pulled in to park, a wave from your kitchen window and your beaming smile would greet us, even up until the very end. You always remembered the girls birthdays and a card would drop on the mat for them, they have known you their whole lives. We will miss the jingle of the bells on your car keys every time you went out. So many happy memories of you and we will miss them all, we promise, for as long as we are neighbours to look out for your Pat, hopefully this will bring some comfort to Cathy and Bob knowing we will be here for him if ever he needs us. We will miss you greatly Barb, rest in peace now in full health, watch out for our girls please, we’re sure you already are xxxxx
